Collaborative effort vital for water/sewer line installment by Mary Ann Menendez Staff Writer Presented to Estherville City Council Monday was a development agreement with the Estherville Lincoln Central Community School District for water and sewer service to the school’s practice sports field complex located at 1714 Seventh Avenue South. City Administrator Steve Woodley told the council the school district’s need for water/sewer service quickly developed this year. “We learned of it less than a month ago.” The complex will contain three practice fields and the future bus facility. “They need sewer and water to the site,” he explained, noting there is no water main in that location at the present time. It was explained Estherville’s long-range goal did include plans to extend the water service in that area sometime in the next five years. “To accommodate the schools, we put this together quickly,” Woodley said.
