Obama uses phone in search of a vote.
DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - When it comes to wooing undecided voters, Barack Obama showed he's willing to make a personal pitch.
Campaigning in Iowa today (Monday) en route to the Democratic convention where he will accept the party's presidential nomination, Obama was questioned by Cynthia Freidhof, owner of Ross's Restaurant in nearby Bettendorf.
Freidhof says she is interested in learning what Obama planned to do to help small businesses struggling with energy and health care costs. She told Obama that she planned to vote for him in November but that her husband, Ron, wasn't so sure.
With a couple hundred attendees at a town hall meeting looking on and laughing, Obama phoned Ron Freidhof, apparently reaching him at the restaurant's busy lunch hour.
