Iowa Lakes defeats Waldorf JV

The Iowa Lakes Volleyball Team finished its Labor Day Tournament with a 1-3 record.

The Lakers opened the event with a 3-0 win over the Waldorf College Junior Varsity, 25-15, 25-8, 25-16.

Lexi Schneekloth had 29 set assists while Christy Wicks had nine kills and Brianna Ludwig and Mariah Christian each had seven.

In the nightcap on Friday, Iowa Lakes lost 25-14, 25-12, 25-10 to Central Community College.

Schneekloth had 22 assists while Danni Pettigrew had seven kills and Wicks and MaiCee Allen each had six.

On Saturday, Iowa Lakes fell to Kirkwood 3-1 by scores of 25-15, 25-18, 29-27 and 25-10. Schneekloth had 29 assists while Wicks had 15 kills and Sunday Duop had eight kills.

To end the tournament, the Lakers lost to Iowa Western 25-12, 25-13, 27-25.

Schneekloth had 29 set assists while Wicks had nine kills and Christian had five. Kiara Garcia had 15 digs.

Iowa Lakes (2-8 overall) travels to Cedar Rapids this Friday and Saturday for the Kirkwood Tournament.
