Warriors stay above .500

SPIRIT LAKE - The North Union volleyball team had a day just like three other teams at the Spirit Lake Tournament on Saturday.

The Warriors were one of four teams to post a 3-2 record. Sibley-Ocheyedan won the tournament on a tiebreaker. Other teams that went 3-2 were Harris-Lake Park and Estherville Lincoln Central.

North Union defeated Spirit Lake 21-17, 10-21, 15-9, Sibley-Ocheyedan 21-12, 12-15 and Okoboji 21-13 and 22-20. The Warriors lost 21-19, 21-16, 15-6 to Harris-Lake Park and 21-18, 25-23 to ELC.

For the tournament, Allie Ingalls had 51 set assists and 51 digs. Maaike Weiser had 26 set assists.

Aurora Oliver led the attack with 26 kills while Colette Haag had 16, Sara Johnson had 15 and Madison Bollig had 14.

Libero Cheyanne Boland had 52 dig while Haag had 30.

North Union (11-10 overall) hosts West Bend-Mallard in Armstrong this evening.
