ESTHERVILLE - Funeral services for Dorothea Guge, 82, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Calvary Gospel Assembly in Estherville with Pastor Travis Rosinger officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at Stateline Cemetery in rural Petersburg, Minn.

She died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Dorothea Ann (Bunkofske) Guge, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Harsch) Bunkofske, was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Burt.

She received her education in the Burt schools.

On Feb. 15, 1947, Dorothea was united in marriage to Donald Guge in Swea City. The couple made their home in rural Estherville and began raising their family and farmed. Dorothea was a homemaker and later was employed at P. G. Gray Produce, Wadco Foods in Estherville and she also cleaned homes for several local families. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening, her church family and most especially spending time with her family.

Dorothea was a member of Calvary Gospel Assembly in Estherville.

Left to cherish Dorothea's memory are her husband, Donald, of Estherville; her children, LaVone Clemitson and her husband, Dale, of Sioux City and Garald Guge and his wife, Sandi, of Estherville; her grandson, Christopher Clemitson, and his wife, Amy, of Sioux City; great-grandson, Cole Clemitson, of Sioux City; siblings, Vivian Aasby and her husband, Oliver, of Fon du Lac, Wis., Floy Henrickson of LeRoy, Minn., Ethel Boyer and her husband, Gerald, of Spencer, Darrell Bunkofske and his wife, Lois, of Swea City, Alvin Bunkofske and his wife, Dottie, of Temple, Ga., and Darwin Bunkofske and his wife, Venetta, of Armstrong; and sisters-in-law, Dagny Bunkofske, Darlene Bunkofske, Doris Guge and Corrine Guge.
