ALGONA - The Estherville Lincoln Central junior varsity football tied, 14-14, with Algona in overtime on Monday.
In regulation, ELC scored on a 30-yard pass from Justin Heinrichs to Carsten Bosch. Heinrichs connected with Zach Humble on the two-point conversion pass.
In overtime, ELC scored first on a pass from Heinrichs to Rodrick Fuller. The two-point conversion failed. Algona then had its chance, scored a touchdown and failed on the two-point conversion.
ELC (2-1-1) is home against North Union next week.
The ELC freshman (0-4) lost 37-8 to Algona on Monday. Mark Paulson had the only touchdown for ELC. Danny Christensen connected with Jack Brashear on the two-point conversion pass.
