SPENCER - The Iowa Lakes Community College men's soccer team picked up a big win against Scott Community College Tuesday winning the contest 2-0.
"It was nice to win this one especially because the men are tired," said Iowa Lakes coach Ammon Bennett. "We didn't play real dynamic and at times made the game harder on ourselves then need be but in the end a win is a win and we will take the positives from it, use this information and try to build on it for the next game on Thursday at Century College."
Goals were scored by Erick Guzman and Peter Funaro assisted by Ryan Murray and Dillan Mathys. The Lakers (5-6 overall, 3-3 in league play) return to action Thursday at Century College. Kickoff at 5 p.m.
