POCAHONTAS, Ark. - Keith L. Griffith, 91, of Imboden, Ark. and formerly Estherville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at Five Rivers Medical Center.

A celebration of life was held Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 in Pocahontas, Ark.

Keith was born June 5, 1921 in Estherville to Jesse and Florence Griffith. He graduated from Estherville high school as valedictorian. On August of 1941 he married Betty Reid from Estherville. He started the Clearview Dairy in Estherville in the fall of 1941 and also farmed. In November 1942 Keith was called to serve his country in WWII as a pilot of a US military B26 bomber. He returned home in November 1945. He farmed in Estherville, Huntington and Lakefield, Minn. for 28 years. He then moved to Pocahontas, Ark. to run a cattle ranch until retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, family and friends. In November 1993 his wife, Betty, passed away.

Keith is survived by his current wife, Bobbie Griffith, of Imboden, Ark.; two sons, Scott Griffith and his wife, Joyce, of Estherville and Thomas Griffith and his wife, Sheryl, of Seattle, and daughter-in-law, Jan Griffith, of Paragould, Ark. Stepsons: Clarence, Kenneth and Aaron McMullin. Stepdaughters: Brenda Madison, Barbara Lawrence, Ina Benson, Miria Wallace and Donna Baker. Grandchildren include: Roxanne Budach, Jeff Griffith and Tina Friesner, all of Estherville; Tammy Jensen of Rock Valley; and Jesse Griffith, Jason Griffith and Jennifer Fisher, all of Seattle and Teresa Pfeffer of Pocahontas, Ark. and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Florence Griffith; his first wife, Betty Reid Griffith; son, Brian Griffith; grandson, Michael Griffith; two brothers, Harley and Darold Griffith and one sister, Phyllis Bendixon.
