The North Union FFA soils team participated in the State FFA Soils Contest Saturday, Oct. 6 at Iowa State University in Ames. The team placed fourth out of 30 teams and qualified for the National Land Judging Contest next May in Oklahoma City.
Becky Cronk placed seventh out of 130 individuals judging that day. Team members are Cronk, C.J Cheever, Chris Burt, Becky Bormann and Lexy Johnson.
The North Union FFA qualified for the state soils contest by winning the North Central District soils contest. Cheever placed first at the district contest with Burt placing third.
