WISCONSON DELLS, Wis. - The Iowa Lakes Community College Volleyball Team finished with a 1-3 record at the Kishwaukee Tournament this past weekend.
On Friday, the Lakers opened the tournament with a 25-17, 25-19, 27-25 win over St. Clair, but then lost 25-23, 25-14, 19-25, 25-5 to Muskegon.
Against St. Clair, Christy Wicks finished with 20 kills while Dani Pettigrew had 16 and Brandi DeMuth has 12.
Mariah Christian had 40 set assists. Also Kiara Garcia had 26 digs, Maicee Allen contributed a pair of ace serves and Sunday Duop had six blocks.
Against Muskegon, Christian had 27 set assists and Garcia had 27 digs. Wicks finished with 12 kills while Pettigrew and DeMuth each had nine. Duop had three blocks.
On Saturday, the Lakers lost 13-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-17 to Owens Community College. Christian had 31 set assists while Wicks had 13 kills and Demuth had 13. Pettigrew had three ace serves and Wicks had six blocks.
The Lakers ended the tournament with a 25-16, 25-21, 25-20 loss to host Kishwaukee.
Christian had 24 set assists. Pettigrew and Wicks each had seven kills while DeMuth had five. Garcia had 25 digs and Pettigrew had a pair of ace serves.
Iowa Lakes (10-29 overall, 1-4 in league play) travels to the ICCAC Showcase this Friday and Saturday in Marshalltown.
