Six Estherville Lincoln Central football players received Class 2A District 1 All-District honors for their play this season.
Named to the first team were senior defensive back Andre Blanco and senior receiver Matt Burrell.
In district play, Blanco was second in tackles on defense with 56 including 19 solo tackles. He also punted 31 times for 1,163 yards. For the full season, Blanco finished with a team-high 89 tackles including 31 solo tackles. He punted 48 times for 1,712 yards, a 35.7 average.
As a receiver, Burrell finished with 15 receptions for 311 yards and four touchdowns in district play. For the season, he had 27 catches for 570 yards and six touchdowns.
Senior linebacker Tucker Milburn earned second team all-district honors. In district play he finished with 48 tackles including 18 solos and two for a loss. For the season, Milburn finished with 62 tackles including 23 solos. Milburn also had one interception and one fumble recovery.
Earning honorable mention were senior quarterback Evan Hansen, senior offensive lineman Jeff Perkins and senior defensive back Derek Nieland.
Hansen was 42-of-76 passing this season for 568 yards, six touchdowns and one interception in district play. For the season he was 65-of-129 for 909 yards, eight touchdowns and six interceptions.
Perkins, a team captain, was part of an offensive line that helped Blanco rush for 786 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
Nieland led ELC in tackles in district play with 62 including 20 solo tackles and one for loss. For the season, Nieland had 80 tackles including 24 solos and one interception.
