DOLLIVER - Funeral services for Robert Rezac, 94, of Dolliver will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at United Methodist Church in Dolliver with Pastor Ray Sherwood officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Dolliver with military graveside rites by the Armstrong VFW Post.

He died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at his farm home in rural Dolliver.

Robert Joseph Rezac, the son of Frank and Mary (Haisman) Rezac, was born June 27, 1918, in Maple Hill.

He received his education in the Maple Hill Schools, graduating valedictorian of his class at age 16. Bob later attended Waldorf College, majoring in accounting.

Bob served in the United States Air Corps from 1942-1945 during World War II and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. On June 23, 1946, he was united in marriage to Elaine Swan. After their marriage, the couple farmed and raised their family in rural Dolliver. He also worked at the Dolliver Elevator for 15 years. Bob enjoyed fishing, mowing, bird watching, game shows, gardening, woodworking, traveling, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with his family.

He was a member of the Dolliver Methodist Church, serving as treasurer for 22 years; Dolliver American Legion, serving as Commanding Officer for many years; Armstrong VFW; 12-year Lincoln Central School Board, president for two years and also 18th Pursuit Fighter Squadron for 28 consecutive years.

Left to cherish Bob's memory is his wife, Elaine, of Dolliver; children, Marcia Schmidt and her husband, Gary, of Kaukauna, Wis., Robert Rezac and his wife, Mary, of Chaska, Minn., Pamela Biehn of Dolliver, Phyllis Schutjer and her husband, Bruce, of Woden and Roger Rezac and his wife, Joan, of Dolliver; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and sister, Dorothy Swan, of Johnston.

Preceding Bob in death are his parents; son, Ronald; granddaughter, Brandee; sister, Margaret, and three brothers, John, Bernard and Clarence. Online condolences may be sent to
