December 10, 2012
By Michael Tidemann - Staff Writer , Estherville Daily News

Iowa Lakes Community College choral and instrumental students, under direction of choral director Brett Fuelberth and instrumental director Carol Ayres, gave a stunning performance Saturday and Sunday night at the Estherville VFW.

Presiding over the event Saturday evening were Lorde Max Pelzer and Ladye Bonnie Pelzer. Scott and Sarah Stokes were Lorde and Ladye Sunday night.

Jester Matt Johnson of Fairbank lent a great air of hilarity while Serena Lynch of Estherville was minstrel.

The choir was hauntingly melodic in its performance, and the handbell ensemble evoked a wondrous Renaissance spirit.

Musical selections included many wonderful classical favorites such as Celtic Silent night, Deck the Hall, What Child Is This and Tres Cantos Nativas as well as newer Christmas favorites such as Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, All I want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
