The Emmet County Board of supervisors Tuesday approved a utility permit and an amendment to the county five-year program.
The permit approval was to construct utilities on the county highway right of way for Alliant Energy. The work will include installing and replacing several existing poles near 4831 120th St. and relocating service in Section 21 of Lincoln Township northwest of Dolliver.
The board also approved amending the county five-year program for a paving project on 490th Avenue from A34 (270th Street) to the Palo Alto County line.
County engineer Roger Patocka said the project had been approved before had been expected.
The board also held a public comment meeting for a confinement feeding operation construction permit application by Eric Olson. Brian Ritland, from Pinnacle Group, who wrote the permit application, was on hand along with Olson and his father, Dennis, to discuss the application.
Acting chair Alan Madden said the next step would be for an on-site visit.
The board also approved general and drainage district claims.
