CRESTON - In a low scoring game, Iowa Lakes fell to Southwestern 51-43 on Tuesday.
The Lakers trailed 23-16 at the end of the first half. They went 15-for-54 from the field for 27.8 percent and 10-for-17 from the free throw line.
Southwestern didn't shoot much better as they went 18-for-69 (26.1 percent) from the field, but they were 9-for-11 (81.8 percent) from the free throw line.
Kelly Madison was the only Laker to reach double digits with 11 point, six of them coming from the free throw line.
Tate Harmon finished with eight points, Diamontae McKinley and Deondre Parks each had six, Josh Schaben and Mark Miedema each had four and Colton Neff and Ben Shellim each had two.
Iowa Lakes (6-4 overall, 1-1 in the region) is on the road against Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids on Saturday.
