LAURENS - In a rematch of the season opener, Laurens-Marathon turned the tables on Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire on Thursday.
With 25 points from Lauren Link, the Chargers avenged the earlier loss to the Titans with a 51-37 victory.
GTRA had won the previous meeting 47-32 in which Link only scored 12 points.
The Titans led 6-0 early in the contest when Laurens-Marathon went on a 12-2 run to end the first quarter and lead 18-8.
GTRA cut the deficit to seven, 23-16 in the second quarter. But Link hit one of her four 3-pointers on the night and Briley Sullivan converted a steal into a layup as the hosts led 28-16 at the break.
The Titans' offense continued to struggle in the third quarter as the Chargers built a 42-22 lead after three quarters.
Marly Bakken led the Titans with 1 points while Brooke Hoffman finished with 10, Grace Skattebo had six, Morgan McGrauth had five and Lauren Flaharty and Alex Olesen each had two.
GTRA (3-4 overall) travels to Hull next Tuesday to play Trinity Christian.
