The Emmet County Board of Supervisors in a tri-county drainage conference call Tuesday approved a drainage bill and trustee appointments.
Approved was a bill of $1,122,117.50 for repairs to DD EKPA #1 (Tri84), spanning Emmet, Kossuth and Palo Alto counties. The cost will be shared by landowners in the three districts.
The board also appointed township trustees to four-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2016. Appointments include the following.
n Denmark Township trustees: James Miller and Bryon Hantelman.
n Ellsworth Township Trustees: Darryl Madison and Larry D. Anderson.
n Estherville Township trustees: Ward Harsin and David Boe.
n High Lake Township trustees: Mark Olson and Dean Refsell.
n Jack Creek Township trustees: Jeff Anderson and Jim Boyer.
n Swan Lake Township trustees: Mike Jensen and Tim Oleson.
n 12-Mile Lake Township trustees: Craig Borchers and Doug Herum.
The following will assume the duties of elected township clerks and trustees for four-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2016.
n Armstrong Grove Township trustees: Everett Schirm and Debra Zoellner.
n Center Lake Township trustees: Don West and Ronald Klingbeil.
n Emmet Township trustees: Chris Snyder and Brad White.
n Iowa Lake Township trustees: Dick Sturm and Brian Crouch.
n Lincoln Township trustees: Kim Rasmussen and Kim Swanson.
The board set a public hearing on a construction permit application by David Oleson for a confinement feeding operation on Jan. 8, 2013.
