MASON CITY - The Iowa Lakes women came up short, 68-63, against North Iowa Area Community College on Saturday.
The Lakers led 36-30 at halftime, but the Trojans rallied in the second half.
Myangel Johnson led Iowa Lakes with 18 points while Shebreka Edwards had 16 points. Sunday Duop and Carla Barrera each scored 10 points, Leah Courtney had five and Ashleigh Dykes and Noelle Kindred each had two.
Duop had five assists and Dykes had four while Johnson and Daria Jones each had three steals. Duop and Johnson also each had seven rebounds.
Lashae Brooks led NIACC with 23 points.
Iowa Lakes (6-12 overall, 2-5 in the conference) is at Marshalltown on Wednesday.
