WEST BEND - In a slow-paced game with many fouls, North Union forged ahead against West Bend-Mallard to win 38-27 on Friday.
The score was 6-2 after one quarter with the Warriors leading 17-12 at halftime and 27-18 after three quarters.
"We got good shots and moved the ball well," said North Union coach Merle Tigges.
The Warriors took advantage of 26 strips to the free-throw line where they made 16 of them.
"Defensively, we also gave another good effort," said Tigges.
Cheyanne Boland led North Union with 12 points, Madison Bollig had eight, Aurora Oliver had six, Sara Rolling and Maddy Irmiter each had four, Jasmine Clausen had three and Peyton Oleson had one.
Dena Looft led the rebound with six boards, Clausen and Bollig each had five and Rolling had four.
North Union (13-6) is at Humboldt on Monday and home against Lake Mills on Tuesday.
