LAKE PARK - The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire boys started well against Class 1A No. 5 Harris-Lake Park, but the Wolves were just two much as the hosts won 68-45 on Friday.
The Titans led 13-11 after the first quarter but H-LP surged ahead to take a 28-19 lead at halftime and then led 47-36 after three quarters before putting the game away in the fourth period.
"We got off to a very good start playing against a good HLP team," said GTRA coach Randy Hough. "The game was a lot closer than the final score."
Trevor Hagedorn led the Titans with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Mason McGrauth had Austin Dyer each finished with eight points, Andy Geelan had six, Connor Sturgill had four and Marcus Girres and Michael Girres each had three.
Dyer had seven points, three steals and two blocked shots. McGrauth had four steals and three assists and Marcus Girres also had three assists.
GTRA (7-12 overall, 6-2 in the conference) hosts Clay Central-Everly in Terril this evening.
