Mary Jo Tindall

After graduating from Ringsted High School, Mary Jo worked for Dr. Lindholm and Dr. Montgomery. She was later employed at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville for 26 years. For many years, Mary Jo was the right-hand person for the Pastors at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Graettinger.

She rarely ventured far from home, but she made a positive impression on every life she touched. No matter where she went, it instantly became a happier place because of her presence. Mary Jo could take a joke and tell a joke, she got wrapped up in watching televised sporting events, and nothing was more important to her than her family and her many good friends.

Mary Jo was a very active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Graettinger. Pastors, in fact, often joked that she told them what to do. She was a member of the Rosary Society as well as Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Mary Jo was a past member of the Avera Holy Family Foundation Board. She took great pleasure in school activities and sporting events, cheering for her nieces and nephews and enjoying special moments with them. She was there to celebrate every birthday party, every Christmas, every baptism, every First Communion, every graduation, every wedding and all the other special events in their lives.

Mary Jo is survived by her sisters, Betty (Tom) Millea of Graettinger; Helen (Bob) Reuland of Estherville; and brother, Richard (Marge) Tindall of Graettinger as well as many nieces and nephews and their children, who all adored Mary Jo for her smile, her laughter and her love.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
