FORT DODGE - The Iowa Lakes baseball team finished 1-3 against Iowa Central Community College this past weekend.
The Lakers dropped two games on Saturday, losing 8-5 and then 4-3 in nine innings.
In the first game, Iowa Lakes was out-hit 11-7.
Chaday Figueroa took the loss as he gave up six runs on seven hits with one strikeout in three innings. Austin Smith pitched two innings and gave up two runs on four hits with a strikeout. Edwin Dominguez pitched an inning and struck out one.
At the plate, Ryan O'Melia was 3-4 with two runs, Malduino Gonzalez was 1-3 with a double and an RBI and Miguel Rosario was 1-3.
In game two, the score was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation and both teams scored a run in the eighth inning, but the Tritons scored the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth.
Jonathan Brinez pitched four innings and gave up two runs on seven hit swith two strikeouts. Jordan Petchke pitched three innings and gave up one hit. Juan Perez took the loss.
At the plate, Kevin Arroyo was 2-4 with two doubles and Oscar Galagarza was 1-3.
In the first game Sunday, Iowa Lakes won 3-2, but the Tritons won the second game with a walk-off two-run home run in the ninth inning to win 2-0.
In the first game, Jesus Brito pitched 6 innings and gave up two runs on five hits with one strikeout. Perez earned the save and gave up one hit in on inning. At the plate, O'Melia was 1-3 with a run and a walk. Leonardo Ramirez went 1-3 with a run, a double and an RBI. Rosario, Edison Perez and Arroyo each went 1-2.
In the second game, Alcides Fuguet pitched four innings and gave up two hits. Christian Torrech pitched 4 2/3 innings in the loss. He gave up two runs on two hits with two strikeouts. Gonzalez was 2-4 while Arroyo and Rosario each went 1-3.
Iowa Lakes (13-13 overall, 5-7 in conference play) is home Saturday against Des Moines Area Community College.
