Doocy medals in first meet

ARMSTRONG - In a three-way race for the top spot in the first Cornbelt Conference meet of the year, Corwith-Wesley-Luverne came out on top with a 183, but North Union and Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire were close behind.

The Warriors finished with a 186 while GTRA shot a 187. West Bend-Mallard finished with 201 followed by Harris-Lake Park with 209 and Clay Central-Everly with 227.

North Union's Sawyer Doocy and CWL's Andy Hauswirth both shot 39s, but Doocy won tope medalist honors in a playoff.

Rounding out the scoring for the Warriors was a 44 from Alex Deitering, a 51 from Alex Krantz and a 52 by Clyve Jensen.

Non-counting scores were a 53 by Colton Nicoson and a 63 by Michael Mather.

Kyle Dalen led GTRA with a 44 while Blaze Alesch shot a 44 and Ethan Petersen and Tanner Naig each shot 48s. Non-counting scores were a 49 by Jake Wegner and a 56 by Andrew Aeilts.
