Iowa Lakes golfers play in Fort Dodge

FORT?DODGE - The Iowa Lakes Men's and Women's golf teams were in action at the Iowa Central Men's and Women's Spring Invite on Monday.

The Iowa Lakes men fired a team score of 309 and finished in a tie with DMACC for third place.

Leading the way was Ben Nath who tied for meet medalist with a 73. Austin Sweeney shot a 77 and Brandon Klein came in with a 78. Final counting score was an 81 by Jeremy Wollenburg.

Non-counting score was Zach Carlson with an 85.

The Lakers' second team was also there and shot a team score of 323. Leading the way were Ty Asa and Nathan Kyle with each shooting 80s. Michael Pace came in with an 81 and Blake Orton fired an 82. Non-counting score was an 83 by Joe Dakken.

The Iowa Lakes Women also played they were led by Sam Mueller with an 88. Taylor Heinrichs shot an 89, and Tressa DeBoer fired a 92.

Next action for the Lakers will be this upcoming weekend. The Men will play Friday and Saturday at the BV Men's Invite. Both the men and women will play Sunday, April at Brooks Golf Club in Okoboji for the Iowa Lakes Spring Invitational.

Final regular season meet for both squads will be Monday, April 22 when they head to Mason City for the NIACC Spring Invitational.
