For those who aren't going to prom, there's plenty of good music to be heard this weekend without leaving Estherville at it won't cost you an arm and a leg.
The Many Voices Choir opens the weekend with a 7:30 p.m. spring concert at Roosevelt Auditorium. The volunteer group is directed Tim Schumacher and accompanied by Jennifer Heller. A freewill offering will be taken. If you miss the Saturday concert, music lovers can travel to the First Congregational Church in Spencer for a 2 p.m. concert on Sunday.
Also on Sunday, the Estherville WA?TAN?YE hosts its gospel concert at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Several groups and individuals plan to perform. A freewill offering will be taken with proceeds going toward Relay for Life.
If that's not enough, the Northwest Iowa Concert and Jazz bands will perform at 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 22 at Roosevelt Auditorium. The volunteer musicians enjoy performing. The concert is free and refreshments will be served following.
