Lots of good music in Estherville this weekend

April 19, 2013
Estherville Daily News

For those who aren't going to prom, there's plenty of good music to be heard this weekend without leaving Estherville at it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

The Many Voices Choir opens the weekend with a 7:30 p.m. spring concert at Roosevelt Auditorium. The volunteer group is directed Tim Schumacher and accompanied by Jennifer Heller. A freewill offering will be taken. If you miss the Saturday concert, music lovers can travel to the First Congregational Church in Spencer for a 2 p.m. concert on Sunday.

Also on Sunday, the Estherville WA?TAN?YE hosts its gospel concert at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Several groups and individuals plan to perform. A freewill offering will be taken with proceeds going toward Relay for Life.

If that's not enough, the Northwest Iowa Concert and Jazz bands will perform at 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 22 at Roosevelt Auditorium. The volunteer musicians enjoy performing. The concert is free and refreshments will be served following.
