Lenertz resigns as ELC MS principal

April 30, 2013
Estherville Daily News

The Estherville Lincoln Central School District accepted the resignation of middle school principal Deb Lenertz during a special meeting on Tuesday.

Lenertz is in her second year as principal and also serves as the district's curriculum director. ELC Superintendent Tara Paul says the search will begin immediately for a replacement.

A survey on the school's website, www.estherville.k12.ia.us, seeks input on what attributes the community is looking for in a middle school principal.

The school will then develop an on-site teacher and parent group to help with the interview process.

Lenertz is the second ELC principal to resign this spring. Elementary principal Justin Bouse announced in April that he was stepping down to accept a similar position in the Okoboji School District.

The board also accepted the resignation of middle school boys' basketball coach Steve Loy and approved a leave of absence for paraprofessional Dave Nitchals.
