ARMSTRONG - Funeral services for Jason Radunz, 39, of Maple Hill will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong with Pastor Vance Toivonen officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong. Interment will be at Armstrong Grove Cemetery.
He died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn. from a rare lung disease called Pulmonary Langerhan's Cell Hystiocytosis with Cor Pulmonale.
Jason Matthew Radunz, the son of Lorae and Dave (Grabinoski) Radunz, was born Sept. 7, 1973, in Fairmont, Minn.
Jason was baptized at Nazareth Lutheran Church and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop, Minn. He received his education in the Armstrong, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Northrop and Fairmont schools.
On Oct. 14, 2000, Jason was united in marriage to Jean Hutchison at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong. He was employed at GKN for 16 years and also drove school bus for the Armstrong-Ringsted School District. For hobbies he enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling with Jacqueline, motorcycling and playing on a dart league. He also served on the pit crew for Hanning Racing.
He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong.
Left to cherish Jason's memory are his wife, Jean, of Armstrong; his children, Jacqueline, age 11 and Jacob, age 3; his parents, Lorae and Dave Radunz; grandmother, Arlene Grabinoski; aunts and uncles, Mark and Cathy Grabinoski, Diane and Bob Miles and Judy Hansen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David 'Goat' Simpson and Rosemary Hutchison; his half-brothers and half-sisters, Diana (Mike) Stonesifer, Dan (Kim) Radunz, Cathy (Jim) Duffey, Bill Radunz, Paul Radunz, Mike (Jenny) Radunz and Sue Krecht; sister-in-law, Briana Hutchison; niece, Ivy Joy and also many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Jason in death were his Grandpa Pete; Uncle Ronnie and his paternal grandparents, William and Edna Radunz.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials.
