Coffee Clubhouse opens its doors

By Michael Tidemann - Staff Writer , Estherville Daily News

Estherville residents can now load up on a cup of java - plus a lot more - at Coffee Clubhouse at Eighth and Central.

Colt and Kristin Hample, along with the assistance of their sister-in-law Brittney Porter, opened the coffee house Friday. Hours are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week with extended summer hours Wednesday through Friday.

The full menu includes such breakfast items as cinnamon and carmel rolls, muffins, breakfast burritos, waffles and croissant French toast.

There's a great selection of lunch sandwiches, including BLTs, smoked turkey club, Philly cheese steak, chicken Philly steak, slider burgers, Black Forest ham and roast beef.

They also have a good selection of flat breads and salads as well as soups and desserts. Along with Pepsi products, they have Maui all natural fruit smoothies.

"We try to stay with a healthier menu," Colt said.

The Hamples plan on putting the outdoor patio seating area to good use this summer, and they also plan on hosting the Iowa Lakes Community College coffee house performances. They're also looking at outdoor entertainment this summer.

"I think we've got the perfect location for that," Colt said. They also have Wi Fi.

Colt previously owned The Boat House Bakery at Village West so it was just a matter of relocating his equipment to Estherville.

Coffee Clubhouse plans a June grand opening.
