SPIRIT LAKE - The Estherville Lincoln Central girls' golf team didn't have its best day at the 2013 Lakes Conference Tournament on Monday.
The Midgets finished sixth in the conference standings with a 457.
Emmetsburg had four players earn all-conference honors as the E'Hawks took the title with a 382. Spencer finished second with 405 followed by Western Christian with 416, Storm Lake with 442 and Spirit Lake with 451. LeMars finished seventh with 484 and Cherokee finished with a 515.
Participants needed to shoot an 18-hole score of 100 to earn all-conference honors on this day. Spencer's Maddie Boyd carded an 89 for medalist honors while Emmetsburg's Taylor Knight was runner-up with a 91.
Lauren Moeller led ELC with a 107 on nine-hole rounds of 53 and 57 while Tia Bernholtz finished with a 110 on nine-hole rounds of 53 and 57. Britany Busch finished with a 115 on rounds of 57 and 58 andShelby Lappegard shot a 125 on rounds of 64 and 61.
Non-counting score was a 136 by Catie Tvedt.
"We weren't ready to play today and it showed," said ELC coach Kevin Richardson. "Mentally we have to want to go play and we just weren't there. I was disappointed that we couldn't play better.
"Lauren had a very good day; she had two nice rounds and led our team," he added.
ELC is at Emmetsburg today to take on the E'Hawks and Western Christian
Abby Goodenow led Spirit Lake with a 104 while Ellie Katzfey shot a 108, Sydney Spies a 117 and Kristen Salzwedel a 122. Non-counting score was a 135 by Annie Butler.
