The Estherville City Council will meet in regular session at 5 p.m., Monday, July 15.
Under old business, council will consider a recommendation by the Estherville Streets and Alleys Committee to widen Fifth Avenue North between Sixth and Ninth streets to 22 feet and maintain two-way traffic.
At an earlier council meeting, some residents had asked council to consider making the section a one-way street. The Streets and Alleys Committee met July 2.
Under new business, council will consider modifying the Excel budget to allow a grant to the Emmet County Animal Shelter as recommended by the Excel! Estherville Oversight Committee.
Also council will review the final proposed revitalization design concept for the Central Avenue Bridge. Council also will review a cost estimate for the project.
The final agenda item is considering the appointment of a city attorney. Dave Forsyth submitted his resignation earlier this month as he will take over as Emmet County Magistrate in August.
