Two men arrested after a gas drive off

Two people are facing charges after a gas drive off was reported at an Estherville convenience store.

Shortly after midnight Tuesday, the Estherville Police Department received a report that occupants in a red vehicle had just left Caseys East without paying for gas. A short time later police located the vehicle and stopped it in the 10 block of North Third Street.

Officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Rory Huth, 45, of Des Moines. It was determined that Huth's driver's license was suspended.

A passenger in the vehicle, who was identified as Drew Nielsen, 48, of Spirit Lake was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance-marijuana. The police K-9 Max assisted in the investigation.

Huth was charged with driving while under suspension. Nielsen was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both men were placed under arrest and transported to the Emmet County Jail.
