The Emmet County Fair starts this Thursday and goes through Sunday.
The flag raising will be at 8 a.m. Thursday along with 4-H static exhibits at the Estherville/Ingham lake Building. Coloring contest entries will also arrive at the fair office in the Tuttle Lake Building at 8 a.m. Also at 8, the antique tractor and farm equipment will arrive at the Swan Lake Building.

The horse show will start at 12:30 p.m. in the arena. Following at 4 p.m. will be the sheep and meat goat show with showmanship in the Iowa Showbarn. The Emmet County Farm Bureau picnic will be held for Farm Bureau members from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Eagle Lake Building. The fashion show and fair queen contest will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Ingham Lake Building.
Friday events kick off at 7 a.m. with the swine show with showmanship in the Iowa Showbarn with the flag raising at 8. Coloring contest entries may be brought to the fair office in the Tuttle Lake Building between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The poultry show will be held in the Ellsworth Building starting at 11.
Commercial buildings will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Also from noon to 9 p.m., Carolan Rides will be open with wristbands $10 for the day or $15 for two days. The rabbit show with showmanship will be held in the Twelve Mile Lake Building at 2 p.m.
Beef showmanship will be held in the Iowa Showbarn starting at 5 p.m. Also at 5 p.m. will be the drawing for coloring contest winners in the fair office in the Tuttle Lake Building. The Emmet County Cattlemen will hold their supper from 5-7 p.m. in the Eagle Lake Building. Supreme showmanship for seniors only will be held in the Iowa Showbarn at 6:30. Also starting at 6:30 is the tractor pull east of the arena. The Bill Riley Talent Show will be held in the Ingham Lake Building at 7:30 p.m. and a free movie will show in the Eagle Lake Building at 9.
The beef show starts things off bright and early 7 a.m. Saturday in the grassy area. The flag raising will be at 8.
The Northwest Iowa Horse Show will start at 9 a.m. in the area. Carolan Rides will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A free magic show and balloon artist will be held at the Eagle Lake Building at 11.
The open class pet show opens at noon in the Tuttle Lake Building. Commercial buildings also open from noon to 7 p.m.
Registration will be held for the kids pedal tractor pull north of the Swan Lake/Ellsworth Buildings at 2. Also at 2 is the airbrush tattoo artist and free hypnosis in the Ingham lake Building. The kids pedal tractor pull will be held north of the Swan Lake/Ellsworth Buildings at 3. The dog show will also be held at 3 in the Tittle Lake Building.

A free magic show will be held in the Eagle Lake Building at 4 followed by the free fair supper in the same building from 5-7, sponsored by Agri Gold and Farm Bureau.
A free stage hypnosis show will be held in the Eagle Lake Building at 6. Pony rides will be held in the Cheever Lake Building from 6-8 p.m. A free magic show will be held in the Eagle Lake Building at 7 with free pop and popcorn, sponsored by Farm Bureau. A teen dance and hypnosis show will be held in the Ingham Lake Building from 8 to midnight.
Sunday events start with the flag raising at 8 followed by services at Palestine Church on the museum grounds at 10. The Pella Wildlife Show will be held at 11 in the Eagle Lake Grassy Area. At noon will be the 4-H and open class bucket bottle calf and lamb show in the Iowa Showbarn. Kiwanis kid games and the Pella Wildlife Show will be held in the Eagle Lake grassy area at 1.
Cowchip bingo will start at 2 in the grassy area, sponsored by the 4-H County Council. The Pella Wildlife Show will be at 3 in the Eagle Lake grassy area. The fair Parade of Champions and awards program will be at 3:30 in the Iowa Showbarn.
The county fair supper consisting of pulled pork sandwich, chips, baked beans, dessert and beverage for $5 will be at the Eagle Lake Building from 4:15-5:30. All open class and 4-H/FFA entries can leave at 5 p.m.
The Pella Wildlife Show will be at 5 p.m. in the Eagle Lake grassy area with the 4-H/FFA market livestock premium auction in the Iowa Showbarn at 5:15.
