An Estherville man is in jail on several charges after an incident last Friday at a convenience store parking lot.
On Friday at 3:23 a.m., Estherville Police were dispatched to Casey's East in reference to a driver slumped over the steering wheel of his car.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver, later identified as, Troy Dahl, 52, of Estherville. Officers determined that Dahl had driven the vehicle to Casey's East while under the influence.
Dahl was placed under arrest for operating while intoxicated, fifth offense, driving while barred habitual offender, failure to file SR-22 insurance, and operation without interlock device. Dahl was transported to the Emmet County Jail for incarceration. He is being held on $25,000 cash only bond.
Dahl was also found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Dickinson County and is also being held on that charge.
