Sixteen years on the bench

July 31, 2013
Estherville Daily News

At left, well-wishers said farewell Wednesday to Judicial Magistrate John Kauer who retired after serving Emmet County for 16 years. Many courthouse employees turned out to give Judge Kauer a sendoff Wednesday. Front row, left to right, are: Assistant Emmet County Attorney Rosalise Olson, Kauer, Clerk of Courts Cynthia Kelly, Michelle Jacobson and incoming Judicial Magistrate David Forsyth. Back row, left to right, are: Kim Swalve, Chris Snyder, Emmet County Attorney Doug Hansen, Michelle Howing, victim witness coordinator, and Peter Hart, domestic violence prosecutor.
