NU goes 2-3 at Forest City

FOREST CITY - The North Union Volleyball Team finished with a 2-3 record at the Forest City last Saturday, Sept. 21.

The Warriors were swept 2-0 by Boone and Webster City and lost 2-1 to Spirit Lake before coming back with sweeps over Spencer and North Iowa.

Scores in the Boone game were 21-8, 21-17.

The Warriors struggled to get the offense going with just six kills. They did have five ace serves with three by Autumn Boland, who also had nine digs.

North Union lost 21-14, 21-12 against Webster City. Sarah Rolling had five kills while Aurora Oliver had four. Ashley Olson had 10 set assists while Morgan Rahm had seven. Boland had seven digs.

North Union had beaten Spirit Lake a week ago at the Indians' Tournament. This time, Spirit Lake pulled out the 21-17, 19-21, 15-13 win.

Rolling and Madison Bollig led the Warriors with four kills each. Rahm had six set assists and Jordan Guerdet had 11 digs. Boland and Olson each had a pair of ace serves.

North Union defeated Spencer 21-13, 21-14. The Warriors had eight ace serves led by Rahm with three while Boland and Olson each had two. Boland led the attack with four kills while Bollig had three. Olson had eight set assists.

Gam scores against North Iowa were 21-19, 21-15. Bollig had five kills while Boland had four. Olson and Rahm each had six set assists. Boland had seven digs while Olson had three ace serves.
