BUFFALO CENTER - In a matchup of two 3-3 teams, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire did all the scoring and defeated North Iowa 19-0 on Friday.

"Defensively we played real well," said GTRA coach Todd Hough. "They completed a long pass on us once and had first and goal and we held them out."

The Titans scored twice in the second quarter.

Marcus Girres scored on a 9-yard run with Ethan Petersen adding the point after.

Later in the second quarter, Kyle Dalen scored on a 10-yard run to give the visitors a 13-0 halftime lead.

Dalen scored the only touchdown of the second half when he snagged an interception and returned in 25 yards for six points.

"We had a couple of teams that liked to run the ball and not a lot of big plays tonight," said Hough.

Mason McGrauth led the defense with 12 tackles while Alex Hoffman had 11, Damian Suwalski had eight and Dalen had six.

GT/RA (4-3 overall, 3-2 in district play) hosts Northeast Hamilton in Graettinger next Friday.
