Armstrong gives, sells lots

ARMSTRONG - Armstrong had a good jumpstart in city growth Monday night when the Armstrong City Council held public hearings gave away two and sold one lot in Golf Course Subdivision to two parties.

The council gave Lot Seven and sold Lot Eight in Block Two to Roger and Pauline Solberg, Black Eight for $4,000, a price the parties negotiated down from what would have been the normal asking price of $6,900, or half the original list price. City clerk Connie Thackery said that when the council in 2007 decided to give away lots, it also decided a second lot should go for half the original asking price. Solberg said his house would fit the lot better if placed in the middle of the properties.

Solberg asked for a reduced price Lot Eight which Mayor Greg Buum said was the smallest lot in the development.

Council member

Don Leach moved that the council give Lot Seven and sell Lot Eight for $4,000 to Solberg, and the board approved.

The council also voted to give Lot 13 in Block One to Jay and Marie Muggie.
