The Iowa Lakes Women's and Men's Golf teams were in action at Lake Panorama National Golf Club for the AIB Invitational Friday and Saturday.
On the men's side, the Lakers finished ninth with a two-day team score of 658 shooting 337 and 321.
Freshman Jordan Sogard finished in 25th place shooting an 85 and a 76. Freshman Harley Snelson came in 34th place shooting 84-80. Joe Dakken and Blake Orton finished in 45th place. Dakken shot 83-86 while Orton shot 85-84. Austin Sweeney came in 48th place shooting and 89 and an 81. Nathan Kyle played as an individual placing in 62nd place shooting 96-83.
"Everyone keeps working hard and we had a good range sessions the night before the final round," said Iowa Lakes coach Andy Soper. "We have a lot of work to put in and players are starting to figure some things out in their own games. We need to work on minimizing the big numbers which can break a round."
On the women's side Tressa DeBoer led the Lakers with a 39th place finished shooting a 96 and a 103. Cassie Galm came in with a 108 and a 109 on her two rounds placing 49th.
