ARMSTRONG - The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire girls didn't have their best round of golf, but it was still good enough to win their third straight regular season Cornbelt Conference meet on Thursday.
The Titans finished with a 231, two strokes ahead of West Bend-Mallard's 233. Harris-Lake Park finished with 245 while North Union had 258. Clay Central-Everly and Corwith-Wesley-Luverne each had just three golfers.
West Bend-Mallard's Jenna Thul took medalist honors with a 46 while H-LP's Macy Gunderson was runner-up with a 50.
Kelley Harris led the Titans with a 52 while Sara Harris shot a 55, Carrie Hoffman a 59 and Destiny Akridge a 65. Non-counting scores were a 66 by Lauren Flaharty and a 67 by Caroline Koekenhoff.
"It was tough for us all around in Armstrong today," said GT/RA coach John Fulton. "The conditions were pretty decent we just didn't shoot what we are capable of. Kelley and Sara shot pretty good rounds for us and we were lucky to come out on top again in the team score. We will look to get better before our dual with Lake Park next Monday."
Meanwhile Taylor Mathine and Lindsey Irmiter led North Union with 62s while Kortney Kirtsch shot a 66 and Ashley Laverty a 62.
Non-counting scores were a 71 by Rebecca Bauer and an 81 by Brianna Schroeder.
