SIBLEY - Estherville Lincoln Central finished ahead of Lakes Conference foes Cherokee and LeMars at the Sibley-Ocheyedan Invitational on Monday.
The Midgets finished eighth overall with a 243. Unity Christian won with 182 followed by Sibley-Ocheyedan with 205, western Christian with 210, Okoboji with 217, Spirit Lake with 218, Central Lyon with 221, Sheldon with 227, ELC, Cherokee with 264 and LeMars with 289.
"There were a lot of good teams at the Sibley meet," said ELC coach Kevin Richardson. "The girls finished ahead of a few other teams which was good."
Lauren Moeller led ELC with a 54 while Jordan Origer shot 60, Olivia Truog a 64 and Tia Bernholtz a 65. Non-counting scores were a 68 by Gracie Schnell and a 77 by Megan Brunskill.
"Olivia shot her season low score," said Richardson. "Jordan and Gracie are shooting more consistent scores now, which is good. Megan had two bad holes otherwise she had a good round. Lauren is really doing a nice job in the last few meets."
Unity Christian's Alyssa Fedders and Sarah Bos both shot 45s to lead the field.
For Spirit Lake, Macy Smith shot a 51, Taylor Sieperda a 52, Elli Ktzfey a 57 and Callan Hinn a 58. Non-counting scores were a 60 by Kristen Salzwedel and a 63 by Lauren Laven.
