JACKSON, Minn. - Robert G. Pritchard, 57, of Jackson, Minn. passed away at the Sanford Jackson Medical Center on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Jackson with Pastor Steve DeKok officiating. Burial will be in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Visitation will be on Friday, from 5-7 p.m. at the Osterberg Funeral Home in Jackson and on Saturday - one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Robert Gregory Pritchard was born on Nov. 15, 1956 in Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of Wayne and Dorothy (Flynn) Pritchard. He graduated from O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls and later earned his college degree at the University of Sioux Falls. Robert accepted a position as the Broadcast Media coordinator at Iowa Lakes Community College in 2005. He has been a part of the Sioux Falls, Lake Park and Lakefield communities before making Jackson his home. Robert passed away at the Sanford Jackson Medical Center on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the age of 57 years, six months and 12 days.

Robert had many passions in life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson. His love for Jesus carried over into his writing. Robert accomplished a life goal when his book, "Truth Be Told", was published. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, rescuing dogs, swinging a golf club and rooting for the Minnesota Twins.

Robert is survived by his wife, Pat Pritchard, of Jackson; two sons, Anthony (Lisa) Pritchard and Robert Pritchard, both of Sioux Falls; four step-children, Amanda (Danny) Oaks of Rapid City, S.D., Sarah (Josh) Whiting of Ft. Mitchell, Ala., Craig Weires of Fairton, N.J., Aleesha Weires of Hill AFB, Utah and Daniel Weires of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren, Sophia and Olivia Pritchard; four siblings, Jeri (Terry) Baker of Sioux Falls, Mike (Bobbie) Pritchard of Blackwell, Texas, Pam Pritchard of St. Paul, Minn. and Patty Baffing of Appleton, Wis.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
