Collin Reed and Gavin Hasbrouck

GRAETTINGER?- Funeral service for seven year-old Collin Reed and five year-old Gavin Hasbrouck, sons of Stephanie Gaston of Graettinger, will be 2 p.m., Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger. Burial is Lost Island Lutheran Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church on Saturday. Collin Reed was born April 21, 2007 in Spirit Lake. He completed kindergarten this year at Graettinger-Terril Community Schools. Gavin Hasbrouck, brother of Collin was born Sept. 29, 2008 in Spirit Lake. The boys lived in Graettinger with their mother, Stephanie. They enjoyed riding bikes, singing, fishing and playing with tractors, cars, planes and helicopters. More than anything, they loved to spend time playing at the park, especially with their cousins.

On Monday, July 7, 2014, Collin and Gavin passed away at their home in Graettinger.

Left to cherish their memory is their mother, Stephanie (Hasbrouck) Gaston of Graettinger; grandparents: Charles and Kathrien Hasbrouck of Graettinger; great-grandparents: Ron and June Hampson of Graettinger and Mary Hasbrouck of Cedar Rapids; three aunts: Tonya Hasbrouck (Steven Studer), Natausha Hasbrouck (Matt) all of Graettinger and Jennifer Hasbrouck (Jon) of Tehachapi, Calif.; three uncles: Jason Hasbrouk (Rebacca) of Cambridge, Adam Hasbrouck of Monroe and Anthony Hasbrouck (Jessica) of Emmetsburg; and many great-aunts, uncles and cousins.

They were preceded in death by their great-grandfather, Donald Hasbrouck and first cousin, Koral Hasbrouck.
