Thumbs up to all the dance teams that took part in the Estherville Lincoln Central Dance Showcase last Saturday night at the ELC gym.

Teams participating included:


Dance Team and its clinics.

n Regional Wellness Center.

n Lecole La Danse studios.

n North Union Dance Team.

n Graettinger Terril Dance Team.

n ELC girls basketball team joining the ELC Dance Team.

n Iowa Lakes Dance Team.

A big thumbs up also has to go to the parents, grandparents and other audience members who turned out for the event.

Thumbs up to the Black Knights Car Club as it plans its annual dance with The Senders 8 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at the Estherville Elks Lodge. Tickets are available from any Black Knights member.

Thumbs up to everyone who turned out for Tres Vidas, a wonderful performance by actress Denise Estrada Peyre, at the Iowa Lakes Community College gymnasium Wednesday. It was a great opportunity for students to experience the culture of Mexico, El Salvador and Argentina and to learn about the lives of three heroic Latina women - Frida Kahlo, Rufina Amaya and Alfonsina Storni.

Thumbs up to Chris McBreen, whom the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors welcomed as new owner of Computer Zone Wednesday. Chris has already been providing great service, computers and related products for years and we can only look for more of the same in the future.

Thumbs up to Kelsey White and Elaine Quastad whom the Ambassadors welcomed Thursday as owners of The Style Loft in the former Racine's building on Central Avenue.

Thumbs up to all the exhibitors taking part in the Farm, Home and Living Show yesterday and today at the Regional Wellness Center. The show continues through 2 p.m. today.

Thumbs up to Dist. 4 Sen. Dennis Guth and Dist. 7 Rep. Tedd Gassman who are holding a legislative town hall meeting 10 a.m. this morning at the RWC in conjunction with the Farm, Home and Living Show.

Thumbs up to Estherville

Fire Department members who are holding a pancake breakfast this morning at the fire hall on south Fifth Avenue. Stop on by for some great pancakes.
