The team step total was an average for the team, thusly ensuring that teams of different sizes competed fairly with one another. To complete the challenge each team had to record 385,000 steps. That means that each team member aimed to average approximately 9,200 steps each day. Twenty-seven of the fifty teams were able to finish the challenge on time.
