Graveside services for Pauline Lavonne Myers, 101, will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, at East Side Cemetery in Estherville.

Not many come into this world and depart this world on the same day 101 years later! Happy Birthday mom/grandma! Pauline Lavonne (Merriott) Myers was born on April 24, 1916, in Gruver, Iowa to Roy and Mary "Mae" (Reid) Merriott. She attended school in Emmet County. She married Claude Kelly and they were later divorced. On July 16, 1951, Pauline was married to Richard Myers. The couple made their home in Estherville. Richard passed away March 4, 2013.

Pauline was a member of the Estherville Methodist Church. She was employed at the Grand Theatre in Estherville, as well as JC Penney and DEK Rural Electric.

Pauline is survived by her children Dr. James "Jim" Kelly of Cedar Falls, and Judith "Judy" (Jim) Erickson of Waverly. She is also survived by four grandchildren Betsy Peterson, Jodi Dieken, Jeff (Carrie) Dieken all of Cedar Falls, and Nikki (Curt) Hudnutt of St. Louis, Mo.; 11 great-grandchildren Ben Peterson, Natalie Peterson, Nick Peterson, Josh Peterson, Sofie Peterson all of Cedar Falls, Jessica Dieken of Grant, Ala., Johnna Dieken, Mattie Dieken both of Cedar Falls, Austin Goreham of Denver, IA, Jacob Hudnutt and Mia Hudnutt both of St. Louis, Mo.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings LeRoy Merriott, Evelyn Merriott, Marilyn Merriott; son-in-law, Jerl Dieken and daughter-in-law, Jeanie Kelly.

Memorials may be given in memory of Pauline to the Estherville Good Samaritan Society - Memory Wing.
