Members of Podunk Resistance from Emmet, Dickinson and Palo Alto counties hold a demonstration in front of the Emmet County Courthouse Wednesday evening. Members say their goal is to show there are northwest Iowans standing up for unity, fair taxes, immigration rights, fair trade, universal health care, water access, and against the Dakota Access Pipeline. Sixteen individuals attended. The Resistance has been to numerous area towns, including Cylinder, Ayrshire, and Emmetsburg in the last several months.
