Delores ‘Dee’ Hauber March 24, 1937 - Feb. 9, 2018

SPIRIT LAKE -Mass of Christian Burial for Delores "Dee" Hauber, 80, of Spirit Lake, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake with Father Brian Hughes, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Estherville. Dee passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Feb. 13 at the church with a vigil service at 4 p.m.

Delores "Dee" Marie Hauber was born on March 24, 1937 in Palo Alto County, Iowa, to Leo E. and Nellie (Calentine) Conway, Sr.

Dee attended and graduated from Emmetsburg Catholic High School in 1955. She was united in marriage to Harry Hauber on May 24, 1956, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. The couple made their home in the Estherville area for many years. They moved to Spirit Lake in 2000.

Dee enjoyed spending time with her family, having sister slumber parties and playing cards. She loved anything Irish, dancing, sing-a-longs and having coffee with family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake.

Dee is survived by her husband Harry; her children: Deb (Paul) Gosch, Tom (Tam) Hauber, Diane (Michael) Domino, Jane (Craig) Kirchner, and Jill (Marquis) Madison; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Lucille Sewell, Alice Murphy, Mary Schroder, Virginia Fokken, and Frances Brink.

Dee was preceded in death by her son David; her parents; two sisters Florence Lynch and Edna Nelson; and one brother Leo Conway, Jr.
