South O’Brien 19, GT/RA 6 Titans fall to Wolverines

GRAETTINGER - Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire's return to 11-man football didn't quite start the way the Titans would want with a 19-6 loss to South O'Brien on Friday.

GT/RA was held to just 167 yards of offense with their lone touchdown coming on a 30-yard pass from Jace Naig to Tommy Geelan. Meanwhile, South O'Brien finished with 223 yards on the ground and 66 through the air for 289 yards on the night.

For GT/RA, Naig finished 6-of-15 passing for 105 yards with one interception. Geelan caught three passes for 78 yards while Kadin Norris caught two for 27 and Treyton Cacek caught one pass for no gain.

Naig carried the ball eight times for 33 yards with Cormick Currans recording four carries for 24 yards and Chris Conlon had three carries for 17 yards. Cacek carried the ball eight times for a minus-12 yards.

Conlon led the defense with 19.5 tackles including one sack. Carter Murray had seven tackles while Naig and Spencer Roth each had 6.5. Norris collected two fumbles.

GT/RA (0-1) goes on the road against Sioux Central this Friday. The Rebels won their season opener 25-7 over Pocahontas Area.
