Fire destroys Fourth Street home

No injuries were reported concerning a fire that destroyed a house early Wednesday morning in Estherville.

According to Estherville Fire Chief Dick Beaver, firefighters were paged around 12:40 a.m. to a house fire at 605 N. Fourth St. Upon arrival, firefighters found the house fully involved in fire. The occupants were out of the house when crews arrived. The house is a total loss. Firefighters were on scene for about four hours.

It is owned by Jennell Johnson of Spirit Lake and was occupied by Briana Peaches and family.

The Wallingford Fire, Estherville Ambulance, Estherville Police Department, and Emmet County Sherriff Department assisted at the scene. The fire cause is under investigation at this time.
