"The kids came out with energy in how hard we played and how we rebounded," said ELC coach Don Martindale. "It was nice to come back after playing no so well against Spirit Lake. But we have to finish the deal and play four quarters."

Senior Josie Condon had the hot hand in the first half, scoring 16 of her 18 points in the first 16 points. However, she scored just two points in the second half. Condon finished shooting 7-of-13 from the field, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range. She also had eight rebounds.

Junior Jadynn Moore got her first start of the season and contributed 11 points. And two steals.

"Jadynn is the energizer bunny-she works and plays hard," said Martindale.

Senior Brianne Vermeys, in her first start this season, had five points, all from the free throw line.

Meanwhile, Jaydan Nitchals came off the bench and contributed eight points.

Lindsey Jensen, Adrienne Rosfjord and Kaitlyn Tendal each had two points.

ELC (3-4 overall, 0-3 in the Lakes Conference) will host Western Christian on Friday.
